Maggie Walters attended Goucher College in Towson, Maryland and received a Bachelor of Arts in French language and literature. While living in Great Britain, she earned a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of London. While teaching at a high school she worked with some disability related programs including Kids on the Block, a children’s program aimed at increasing awareness of disabilities, and Riding for the Disabled, working with children with cerebral palsy.
After returning to the United States to live in California, she continued to teach disabled and disadvantaged children through the public school system. She attended the National Holistic Institute and became a certified massage therapist.
She also became certified in Cortical Field Re-education® and has had extensive training in Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute. She has volunteered at the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic, a complementary clinic for low income women with cancer and has worked with clients at care facilities for many years.
